I'm the prodigal son of the MAT program. Although I officially began in June 2008, I still have a couple classes I need to finish up to obtain my professional certification for teaching. I did my student teaching in Ketchikan working at all grade levels k-12 ESL, AK Studies, and Spanish. Afterwards I worked for 2 years in Chevak, a remote Cup'ik village by the Bering Sea, where I taught high school math, English, and Cup'ik Eskimo. I now find myself in Anchorage substitute teaching, tutoring, and climbing mountains and frozen waterfalls.
